The Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) is a fully funded government scheme. Under this Scheme, the MPs are empowered to suggest work up to the value of 5 crores per annum, to the District Collector, in his/her constituency. Any one or more Districts of any one State, can be selected by the nominated Members of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for the implementation of their choice of work under the Scheme. Continue reading
